Assessment
Addepar collects holdings from hundreds of data feeds that link directly into one view, then adds analysis, fee billing, client reporting and a branded client portal. It handles work simpler tools find hard: alternatives, which Addepar says represent 40% of assets on its platform, and ownership that passes through holding companies, trusts and entities. ADX, launched during 2026, is a Databricks-based managed data environment and moves that data into data warehouses and into AI workflows.
Addepar does not custody assets and does not act as a broker-dealer, so firms still need another custodian to hold assets and to handle trading. Pricing is unpublished, and the pricing page directs people to a contact form. Figures Addepar supplies also vary from page to page, from $9T to nearly $10 trillion on the platform, so buyers should treat the scale figures as claims the company has made.
Scenarios
| Scenario | Suitability | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Reporting for portfolios that hold private assets | Well suited | Data extraction for alternatives, private fund benchmarks and look-through ownership. |
| Consolidated reporting for a family office | Well suited | Entities, trusts and holding companies combine into net worth views. |
| Sending data to a warehouse or AI tools | Well suited | Public APIs and the ADX data environment keep Addepar data in sync with other systems. |
| Custody and trading | Not suited | Addepar provides software only; assets remain with custodians. |
| Small advisory firm under a tight budget | Partly suited | It can suit the firm, but pricing is sales-led and implementation is a project. |
Built for
RIAs, family offices and private banks needing consolidated reporting that spans public assets, private assets and complex ownership structures.

How this rating was made
This profile gives our own assessment of Addepar to companies selecting a Wealth & brokerage platforms provider. The Fintech Index receives nothing for featuring a firm, for sponsorship, or for advertising, and Addepar gave us no payment for the profile.
The rating equals the average of eight criteria, with every criterion running from 0 to 100. Four address buyer needs in this sector, and four address the company together with its commercial terms.
Ratings are our editorial judgment, made from public information: pricing and legal pages, product documentation, compliance disclosures, and filings. This profile had no lab tests, and no accounts were opened. Fact-checking took place on September 23, 2026.
