Eric Poirier

Chief executive

Eric Poirier is chief executive of Addepar and a board member. He became CEO in 2013. Before Addepar he spent nearly seven years at Palantir Technologies, which he joined in 2006 as one of its first twenty employees. Earlier he worked in Lehman Brothers’ Fixed Income Analytics group. He holds a B.S. in computer science from Columbia University.

Early career

He co-founded a web-scaling business at 15 that counted eBay and Priceline among its customers. At Lehman Brothers he built tools to model, simulate, and analyze debt and credit instruments.

Palantir

At Palantir he shaped core technology and helped build the finance business. Addepar’s 2013 CEO appointment release places him among Palantir’s first twenty hires when the company was still pre-revenue.

Addepar

On taking the role in 2013 he said: "The ultimate roots of finance are the owners of wealth and their advisors, whether they be pension funds managing teachers’ and firefighters’ retirements, family offices, RIAs, insurance companies, or philanthropies managing their nest egg."

Finance at Palantir

While at Palantir he helped build the finance business that the 2013 Addepar appointment release said then represented about half of Palantir’s revenue.
