Assessment
Rho handles the everyday banking of a US startup with no subscription. Checking charges no monthly fee and no minimum-balance fee, and same-day ACH, wires and checks carry no charge. The Mastercard corporate card is underwritten against the business and asks for no personal guarantee, and Rho states that people cover phone, email and chat 24/7 for every account.
Coverage amounts and yield figures this large call for a closer look. Checking is insured to $250,000 at Webster Bank, a division of Santander Bank, N.A., while the $75M figure belongs to a separate savings account and Rho describes that amount as network capacity, which is not a guarantee. Treasury has SIPC protection, and its dated table lists 3.16% to 3.86% net for money market funds and T-bills, under the 4.57% homepage figure drawn from T-bill rates on August 14, 2026. Converting currency costs 1%, and the API can read data but cannot move money.
Scenarios
| Scenario | Suitability | Why |

| Holding a large cash reserve | Well suited | Savings coverage goes to $75M per entity as network capacity, and treasury starts at $50,000. |
| Corporate cards that skip a personal guarantee | Well suited | Charge cards are underwritten against the business and earn standard cashback of 1.25% when repayment is daily. |
| Making frequent payments in foreign currencies | Partly suited | International payments run through Wise US, with a conversion fee of 1% and an optional SWIFT fee of $15. |

Sector criteria
Checking charges no monthly, minimum-balance, ACH, wire or check fees, and Wise US processes international payments for a conversion fee of 1% and an optional SWIFT fee of $15. Checking is insured to $250,000 at Webster Bank, and a separate savings account can reach up to $75M per entity through partner banks of American Deposit Management Co.
Mastercard World Elite Business charge cards require no personal guarantee and no personal credit check, are issued as physical cards, virtual cards and vendor cards, and include limits and approval rules. Cashback is 1.25% when repayment is daily, and the Platinum rate of 2% requires payroll, revenue and most company assets to sit at Rho, on yearly spend up to $1M.

Headline figures on other pages use August T-bill rates or a bond fund allocation of 100% that the treasury FAQ limits to 50%.
QuickBooks Online, NetSuite, Sage Intacct and Puzzle sync natively, while Rho's expense page says Xero links in through a bank feed. Links for HR and travel include Workday, Gusto and Navan, and the REST API and the MCP connection are both read-only.
Vendor criteria
The set covers checking, savings, treasury, cards, expenses, bill pay, invoicing, incorporation and AI coding used for the month-end close, along with a working capital line of up to $5M that Slope underwrites. Rho says people staff phone, email and in-app chat 24/7 for every account at no charge, and there are no paid support tiers. The site publishes both the phone line and the email address.
There is no subscription fee and no per-user fee, and the fee summary lists the 1% conversion fee, the $15 SWIFT fee, a $30 fee to recall an international wire and a monthly late fee of 3% on card balances. Treasury fee tiers are published, while pricing for Rho Capital is set in underwriting.
There is no minimum balance and no monthly fee, and a customer can close the account to end the agreement at any time. Rho may end or suspend service whenever it chooses and without notice, disputes are sent to binding arbitration, and monthly card repayment requires $25,000 held at Rho.

How this rating was made
This profile gives our own assessment of Rho to companies selecting a Business banking & treasury provider. The Fintech Index receives nothing for featuring a firm, for sponsorship, or for advertising, and Rho gave us no payment for the profile.
The rating equals the average of eight criteria, with every criterion running from 0 to 100. Four address buyer needs in this sector, and four address the company together with its commercial terms.
Ratings are our editorial judgment, made from public information: pricing and legal pages, product documentation, compliance disclosures, and filings. This profile had no lab tests, and no accounts were opened. Fact-checking took place on September 24, 2026.
