Assessment

Revolut Business is used by freelancers, startups, and growing companies that pay suppliers, staff, or customers in more than one currency. It suits firms that want multi-currency accounts, company cards, FX at the interbank rate within a monthly allowance, and card acceptance from one provider, with an API for finance teams that automate payments. Its paid plans sit in the middle of the market on price, and its closest competitors are Wise Business, Soldo, Juni, Statrys, and Tide.

Revolut launched in 2015 and reported 2025 revenue of $6.0B, up 46%, with profit before tax of $2.3B. It had 767,000 business customers at the end of 2025, and Revolut Business made up 16% of group income. It operates as a licensed bank in more than 30 of its 40 markets, including the UK and Mexico, and filed for a US national bank charter in March 2026. The same app also serves 68.3 million retail customers, including through Revolut Invest.

It fits a company that moves money across borders and wants plan prices it can read before signing up. It is a weaker fit for a business that needs a dedicated relationship manager, branch cash handling, or quick human help when a large incoming payment is held for checks.

Rating by criterion

We score each of the eight criteria out of 100.

Sector criteria

Multi-currency accounts, local and international transfers, and a licensed bank in more than 30 markets cover most cross-border needs.

Spend and cards86

Company cards, spending limits, and an expenses tool at about $11 per person a month cover a team's spending.

Bookkeeping and admin tools80

Expense approvals and BillPay, with purchase orders matched to bills, are built in, while bookkeeping runs through accounting connections.

Integrations and open banking86

Xero, Sage, and QuickBooks connections plus a Business API let finance teams automate payments and reconciliation.

Vendor criteria

Revolut Business made up 16% of group income in 2025, and the group earned $2.3B before tax, which funds a wide product roadmap.

Onboarding and support74

Pricing transparency90

Plan prices, FX allowances, and card acceptance fees are published. In the UK, Basic costs about $13 a month, Grow from about $40, and Scale from about $120.

Contract terms74

Plans are monthly, but Enterprise terms are custom, and fair-usage FX limits apply above each plan's allowance.

How this review was created

This profile gives our own assessment of Revolut to companies selecting a Business banking & treasury provider. The Fintech Index receives nothing for featuring a firm, for sponsorship, or for advertising, and Revolut gave us no payment for the profile.

The rating equals the average of eight criteria, with every criterion running from 0 to 100. Four address buyer needs in this sector, and four address the company together with its commercial terms.

Ratings are our editorial judgment, made from public information: pricing and legal pages, product documentation, compliance disclosures, public reviews and filings. Fact-checking took place on October 28, 2026. Figures reported in pounds were converted to US dollars at the Federal Reserve H.10 rate of $1.3375 per pound on October 23, 2026.
