Assessment
For each lender, Zest AI creates machine-learning underwriting models covering personal, auto, small business, home equity and credit card loans, and runs them in that lender's loan origination system instead of replacing it. Zest Protect assigns scores to applications for first-party, third-party and identity fraud, and LuLu, Zest's generative AI assistant, measures lending performance against HMDA data and public call reports. Zest connects with Origence's arc OS, MeridianLink and Temenos.
The method has fair lending built in: models are tuned for accuracy and fairness, it seeks less discriminatory alternatives together with adversarial debiasing, and specialists in compliance and fair lending sit on the team. The result claims, including auto-deciding 80% of applications, remain Zest's own. Price details are unpublished apart from the free proof of concept, while our review found no published certification for ISO 27001 or SOC 2.

| Scenario | Suitability | Why |
|---|---|---|

| Loan origination system replacement | Not suited | An existing origination system is where Zest runs. |
