Assessment

Uncapped lends to online sellers against their trading history. Loans run from ~$100K to ~$2M with one fixed fee agreed up front, and there is a line of credit and a product for Amazon sellers. Use it when a brand has proven sales and needs cash for stock or advertising before the revenue comes in.

Uncapped was founded in London, England, in 2019 by Piotr Pisarz and Asher Ismail. It raised an $80M round of debt and equity led by Lakestar in 2021 and has backing from Mouro Capital, White Star Capital and Seedcamp. Its accounts for the year to April 2025 show interest income of ~$16M, a loss of ~$13M and 35 staff.

It fits a growing ecommerce brand selling online with clear sales data. It is a weaker fit for a business with little trading history, or one that wants the lowest possible rate and is happy to give a personal guarantee to a bank.

Rating by criterion

Each of the eight criteria below is scored out of 100.

Sector criteria

Product fit and underwriting76

Uncapped offers fixed-fee term loans from ~$100K to ~$2M, a line of credit and Amazon seller funding. Underwriting uses sales and marketplace data, so trading history matters more than assets.

Funding speed and channels80

Applications are online and decisions come from connected sales and bank data, not paper accounts. Funds go straight to the business account.

Risk and collections70

Loans need no personal guarantee, which shifts risk to Uncapped and can show up in the fee. Ask what happens if sales fall and repayments become hard.

Integrations and reporting72

Uncapped connects to marketplaces, shops, ad platforms and bank accounts to underwrite. Reporting is aimed at the borrower, not at finance systems.

Vendor criteria

Product depth and roadmap70

The product range has narrowed to working capital for online sellers since its early revenue-based finance offer. Ask about plans for the US market.

Onboarding and support74

Sign-up is online. Check how quickly a top-up can be arranged on an existing loan.

Pricing transparency74

Each loan has one fixed fee shown before signing, which makes the cost easy to compare. Uncapped does not publish a rate table, so get several quotes.

Contract terms70

There is no personal guarantee. Ask about early repayment, whether the fee is reduced if you repay early, and any security taken over business assets.

How this review was created

This profile gives our own assessment of Uncapped to companies selecting a Lending & credit infrastructure provider. The Fintech Index receives nothing for featuring a firm, for sponsorship, or for advertising, and Uncapped gave us no payment for the profile.

The rating equals the average of eight criteria, with every criterion running from 0 to 100. Four address buyer needs in this sector, and four address the company together with its commercial terms.

Ratings are our editorial judgment, made from public information: pricing and legal pages, product documentation, compliance disclosures, and filings. Fact-checking took place on October 23, 2026.
