Assessment
iDenfy checks a customer's ID document and face, verifies companies against more than 180 registries, and can add sanctions and politically exposed person screening, proof of address and US background checks for a listed fee per check. iDenfy says automated checks return instantly and a human-supervised check comes back within 3 minutes, around the clock. The pricing page lists more than 3,000 document types from over 200 countries and territories.
iDenfy was founded in Kaunas, Lithuania, in 2017 and is led by chief executive Domantas Ciulde. Lithuanian filings show 2025 revenue of €5.25M, down 13% on 2024, and a net profit of €1.66M. Social insurance records put the payroll at 57 people in September 2026. The company says more than 1,000 businesses use it, and FTMO, listed as a financial services customer, is quoted on the pricing page.
It fits a small or mid-size online business that wants self-serve prices and a short trial before a contract. A bank with heavy case-management needs will find less published detail on workflow tools than on pricing.
Rating by criterion
Each of the eight criteria below is scored out of 100.
Sector criteria
The pricing page lists more than 3,000 document types from over 200 countries and territories, reading the chip inside a passport or ID card, bank verification, age estimation and government registry checks in Lithuania, Hungary and the US. Business verification draws on more than 180 company registries.
3D liveness and IP proxy detection are sold as add-ons, from $0.10 to $0.20 a check, and a face and document duplicates check and a biometric blocklist are $0.10 add-ons. A 2021 Capterra reviewer reported that some identifications that broke the rules were accepted, such as sessions with another person on camera.
24/7 manual review is a $0.45 add-on. The public pages say less about analyst queues, case notes and workflow rules than about check types.
The product covers KYC, KYB and AML monitoring, and the Enterprise plan writes ISO 27001 and SOC 2 commitments and a data processing agreement into the contract. Data is kept for 12 months on Premium and up to 8 years on Enterprise.
Vendor criteria
iDenfy now sells business verification, AML screening, US criminal background checks and driver's license verification, which checks the license against the issuing state's records through the AAMVA database. Revenue grew every year from 2020 to 2024, then fell 13% in 2025, while the company stayed profitable.
A 14-day free trial includes 10 checks, and a Capterra reviewer credits qualified support. One reviewer wrote that integration with business processes takes time, with documentation that helps.
Prices are published: pay-as-you-go identity verification costs $1.35 a check with a $135 monthly minimum, enterprise volumes go as low as $0.50, and each add-on has a listed price, from $0.10 for SMS to $1.90 for a US criminal background check.
The $135 monthly minimum is public, and approved-only billing costs an extra $0.50 a check. Enterprise pricing is volume-based on an annual plan, and exit terms are not set out on the pricing page.

How this review was created
This profile gives our own assessment of iDenfy to companies selecting a KYC, AML & identity provider. The Fintech Index receives nothing for featuring a firm, for sponsorship, or for advertising, and iDenfy gave us no payment for the profile.
The rating equals the average of eight criteria, with every criterion running from 0 to 100. Four address buyer needs in this sector, and four address the company together with its commercial terms.
Ratings are our editorial judgment, made from public information: pricing and legal pages, product documentation, compliance disclosures, public reviews and filings. Fact-checking took place on October 26, 2026.
