Assessment

Currency handling is the point on which Revolut Business differs most in the US. Accounts handle sending and receiving across 25+ currencies, spending on cards covers 150+ currencies, and every plan includes a monthly exchange amount at the interbank rate, from $1,000 on Basic up to $80,000 on Scale, with 0.6% applied above that and 1% outside market hours. Fee schedules in the US for Basic, Grow and Scale are published completely, and Grow also includes custom approvals, bills, APIs and purchase orders.

The US account is more limited than the others in the group. This prepaid card account, issued by Lead Bank with Revolut Technologies Inc. in the program manager role, pays no interest and limits FDIC cover to $250,000 when the insurance requirements are met. On every plan, a domestic wire in either direction costs $10, FedNow can only receive funds, and checks are not accepted for deposit. FDIC, Federal Reserve and final OCC approvals are still required before Revolut can open the proposed US bank, and Revolut plans that step for 2027.

Rating by criterion

How the eight criteria that form the rating for Revolut Business are each scored out of 100.

Sector criteria

Accounts and payments76

Accounts handle sending and receiving across 25+ currencies, and the plans include 10, 100 or 1,000 local transfers a month with no fee, counted both ways. A US domestic wire costs $10 in either direction, inbound payments are the only FedNow option, and neither checks nor cash can be loaded.

Cards and spend controls73

Prepaid corporate cards on Visa or Mastercard spend in 150+ currencies, and every plan includes card controls and an expense tool. Bills, custom approvals and purchase orders begin with Grow, a credit line is not part of the account, and cashback is available only through promotions.

Treasury and yield45

US plans do not list any yield product, and the cardholder agreement states that no interest is paid on the account. FDIC insurance can reach $250,000 at Lead Bank or at banks Lead selects, if the card is registered and requirements for deposit insurance are met.

Accounting integrations68

Integrations for accounting, HR and other business apps come with every US plan, and from Grow upward the Bills feature imports bills from accounting software. Business APIs are available starting on Grow, and the US plans page does not give the names of the accounting systems it supports.

Vendor criteria

Product depth and roadmap76

Exchange, accounts, expenses, prepaid cards, bills, analytics, purchase orders and APIs are housed in one app. On September 3, 2026, Revolut announced conditional OCC approval relating to a US national bank, and FDIC, Federal Reserve and final OCC approvals remain pending.

Onboarding and support74

Support-team chat runs 24/7 on every plan, and a toll-free phone number is listed in the cardholder agreement. An account manager is included only on Enterprise.

Pricing transparency80

The US fee schedules for Basic, Grow and Scale set out subscriptions, allowances, overage charges, and fees for wires and exchange. Annual billing on the plans page comes to $40 a month for Grow and $140 a month for Scale, versus $50 and $180 on monthly billing, and Enterprise pricing is custom.

Contract terms72

There is no fee to cancel or downgrade a plan, but fees already paid for the subscription are not refunded and payment is required on every plan. At any time the issuer may cancel the account, risk scoring can place a cap on balances, and disputes are handled through binding arbitration.

How this rating was made

This profile gives our own assessment of Revolut Business to companies selecting a Business banking & treasury provider. The Fintech Index receives nothing for featuring a firm, for sponsorship, or for advertising, and Revolut Business gave us no payment for the profile.

The rating equals the average of eight criteria, with every criterion running from 0 to 100. Four address buyer needs in this sector, and four address the company together with its commercial terms.

Ratings are our editorial judgment, made from public information: pricing and legal pages, product documentation, compliance disclosures, and filings. This profile had no lab tests, and no accounts were opened. Fact-checking took place on September 24, 2026.
