Assessment
Worldpay takes on acquiring and processing for card payments both online and in store, and the company says volume is $2.3 trillion a year. Its online payments page cites domestic processing across 70+ markets and in 135+ currencies, and the enterprise page names 300+ payment methods. With acquiring it sells Revenue Boost, which retries failed payments through AI and routes transactions, credential management that lets stored cards move across acquirers, fraud screening via FraudSight powered by Ravelin, payouts and automated chargeback responses. Global Payments completed the Worldpay purchase on January 9, 2026. Worldpay expects the changeover to the Global Payments brand to be complete in 2027 and says API integrations already in place keep working with no changes required.
Commercial terms are harder to assess from the US. Worldpay US pages show no rates and provide a quote, while the UK pages for small businesses show prices, for example 1.3% + 20p or 1.5% + 20p on consumer cards from Visa and Mastercard through Worldpay eCommerce. In the July 2026 edition, enterprise terms continue for successive one-year periods unless written notice is given by either side at least one month prior to the end of the term. Developers can use the public Access Worldpay docs and the Try test environment, along with client SDKs covering native apps and the web, but a Worldpay implementation manager issues the credentials. The public status page includes funding, acquiring, authorization and portals, and it holds an incident history.

How this rating was made
This profile gives our own assessment of Worldpay to companies selecting a Payments & acquiring provider. The Fintech Index receives nothing for featuring a firm, for sponsorship, or for advertising, and Worldpay gave us no payment for the profile.
The rating equals the average of eight criteria, with every criterion running from 0 to 100. Four address buyer needs in this sector, and four address the company together with its commercial terms.
Ratings are our editorial judgment, made from public information: pricing and legal pages, product documentation, compliance disclosures, and filings. This profile had no lab tests, and no accounts were opened. Fact-checking took place on September 24, 2026.
