Best for

Marketplaces, fintechs and platforms that need adaptable identity verification and KYB, and workflows they can change without engineering work.

Not ideal for

Those wanting terms that are month-to-month, or banks whose main need is a layer that orchestrates many current vendors.

Verdict

Persona is organized around choice. Teams combine phone, selfie, email, database, government ID, mobile driver's license and NFC checks, then add adverse media, watchlists and business reports, and place them into drag-and-drop workflows, and add custom code where needed. Cases covers reviews with SLAs, escalation queues, rules for assignment and features for SAR filing, and Graph connects accounts to reveal coordinated fraud.

Essential begins at $250 a month on a minimum contract term of 12 months, billed for each successful verification, while sales sets the price on larger plans. On April 10, 2026, Persona for Government received FedRAMP 20x Moderate authorization. In February 2026, researchers found front-end source maps exposed on a non-production subdomain of Persona, and Persona's review says customer data, secrets and backend systems were not exposed.
