Charles Yeh is co-founder and chief technology officer of Persona. He has led the company's technical direction since 2018, with public work that includes data privacy, deepfake detection, and catching bots that impersonate people online. Rick Song has described him as the roommate who pushed them to start the company.
Education and Dropbox
He earned a B.S. in computer science from Brown University and worked as a software engineer at Dropbox from 2014, including technical leadership on infrastructure. He also interned at Zynga. That Dropbox background later showed up in Persona's fundraising: Index Ventures partner Mark Goldberg, formerly of Dropbox, led a growth round after knowing Yeh from earlier days.
Building Persona's platform
At Persona he owns the configurable identity platform that lets customers mix document checks, biometrics, and other signals by risk and use case. In a Visa founder interview he said the building blocks let companies "tailor the experience to the use case and user and start thinking about identity from a relationship standpoint versus as a transaction." Song has credited him with early custom engineering for Persona's first large customers while the product was still taking shape.
