Ante Spittler is co-founder and chief executive of Moss, a Berlin, Germany, company whose software runs corporate cards, invoices and expenses for European businesses. He trained in finance and worked in investment banking, consulting and venture capital before starting it in 2019. Read our review of Moss.

Early Years at McKinsey and Move24

He began as an associate at McKinsey, then co-founded and ran Move24, and later became a partner at Global Founders Capital. "Previous roles equipped me with the versatile toolkit I needed to reconsider established frameworks, even in areas where my knowledge wasn't extensive," he told The Fintech Times in January 2024. During an M&A internship at Citigroup, skipping a Saturday evening at the office led him to meet his wife.

Automating Finance Work at Moss

Moss grew out of his own time running a finance organisation. "It's historically been incredibly difficult to connect the dots between various software components (such as accounting systems) and financial products (bank accounts, cards, credit, etc.)," he said. Moss started with a corporate card and expense software and now covers invoices, reimbursements, approvals and pre-accounting.
