Spenda

Corrie Hassan

Chief executive

Corrie Hassan is chief executive of Spenda, the ASX-listed Australian payments and business-finance company. She became interim CEO in September 2025 and permanent CEO in early 2026 after years as chief credit and risk officer, and she earlier co-founded Invigo, the finance firm Spenda acquired in 2021.

Credit career

She began in credit management in London, rose through credit officer and operations manager roles over about twelve years, then moved to Australia on a six-month secondment as UK shareholders' representative and stayed. In 2007 she set up the invoice-finance arm of an ASX-listed company and grew it for a decade until it was sold in 2017. With Andrew Hilton she then founded Invigo to deliver business finance with more technology and less manual document chasing.

Invigo and Spenda

Spenda acquired Invigo in 2021. Hassan joined as the credit and risk lead, overseeing the loan book, underwriting, credit policy, the funding team, and lending products inside Spenda's payments ecosystem. After founder Adrian Floate stepped down she served as interim CEO from September 2025; Spenda made the role permanent in January 2026, citing continuity across operations and product. Australian FinTech and company updates confirm that sequence.
