Andrew Sever

Co-founder and chief executive

Andrew Sever is co-founder and chief executive of Sumsub, the verification and compliance platform used by thousands of companies worldwide. He founded the company in 2015 with brothers Jacob and Peter Sever and CTO Vyacheslav Zholudev, after C-suite work at IT companies and a degree in theoretical physics.

Founding Sumsub

Sumsub began as a tool for spotting manipulated graphics and grew into a full KYC, business verification, and monitoring platform. Sever leads strategy, product direction, operations, sales, and global expansion, and has said he wants Sumsub to be a single hub for verification and compliance tasks. The company about page says the platform verifies more than two million people a day for more than 4,000 customers and supports more than 14,000 document types in more than fifty languages.

Running a global verification company

His public profiles emphasise ownership, transparency, and distributed responsibility as Sumsub opened offices from London and Berlin to Singapore, Dubai, Miami, and Tel Aviv. He works closely with Jacob on innovation, Peter on strategy and product planning, and Zholudev on the technical systems behind the reported 99.996% uptime. Authority Magazine and his own site describe a leadership style that regularly challenges assumptions while staying close to regulated clients and regulators.
