Mufti Monim is chief technology officer at PCI-PAL. He joined in April 2021 to lead technology strategy and the product team for the company's cloud secure-payments platform, after CTO roles in retail finance and international money transfer.
Earlier technology roles
Before PCI-PAL he was CTO at Deko, a retail finance cloud company, where he led product and engineering for a platform used by more than 1,700 merchants and processing more than two million credit applications worth over £2 billion. Earlier he was head of technology at Lebara Money, where he built an international money-transfer platform that reached £100 million of transfers in its first twelve months, and he held digital technology roles at Lebara Mobile.
Technology at PCI-PAL
Reporting to CEO James Barham, he directs the technical vision for PCI-PAL's AWS-hosted SaaS environment and leads product enhancement work as the AIM-listed group expands secure card-payment flows across contact-centre and digital channels. On joining he said PCI-PAL had already built global cloud foundations and that his prior high-growth cloud and payments roles were a close fit for the next stage.
"It is such an exciting time for me to be joining this high-growth cloud payment security business," he said when appointed. "My previous two leadership roles have been at high-growth companies too, and I feel PCI-PAL is at a hugely interesting stage of its development."
